The latest Manchester United signing - Mark Clattenburg

But in that moment the figure of the referee made itself visible. Ivanovic in first and Torres ten minutes later were sent off. None of them are very clear even with the repetitions. In the first one, Ashely Young is heading the goal when Ivanovic seems to take him down. Clear scoring chance plus last man - Red card. The second one is much more complicated. As Evans said at the end of the match, there was a contact. Maybe not strong enough, maybe, as Ferguson said, Torres could have carried on, but he fall. Or as the referee thought, he dived. Second yellow card, and the Chelsea remained with 9 players since the 68'.

But it wasn't the last error. Ten minutes later, Chicharito scored the third winning goal for the devils in offside, but the referee didn't see it. At the end, 2-3 for Manchester United, who puts end to a negative run in Stamford Bridge.
